I keep speed loaders for all my revolvers, 6, 7 and 8 shot revolvers.
Hitting the target is always on the first or second round, revolvers always get you to place your rounds accurately, knowing that you are limited to what your revolver carries.
Round placement is, KING, a well placed 357 or 38spl round, does the job. With that said, even a 22 round in the knee hurts.
By the way, in my opinion, moon clips are the best, and fastest speed loaders for my revolvers.
But, as a police officer in the 70's, with a 38spl revolver, getting proficient with just loading one round, was a good thing. And, knowing your limitations, caused you to be more aware of things happening in your surroundings, it was call, "Being Street Wise", and it kept you alive.
When I'm asked, What is my favorite revolver, Well, it's my Jerry Miculek special, S&W 625 in 45ACP caliber, and using moon clips.
How can you loose with a revolver shooting 45ACP, lead hurts. In the picture it's dirty, because I shoot it all the time, and shooting a revolver, it don't matter, it'll always shoot.

This is like a .223 cartridge compared with a 5.56. If the firearm is marked.223 don't fire 5.56 rounds through it. But if it's marked 5.56, it's safe for both.
