I will give Ms Monroe credit for being a good story teller and writer. If this is a story about you then leave that gun in the safe or the showroom case, don't carry it. You'll get yourself and others hurt most likely. But, if it is you in this story, don't think that your world view is shared by everybody else. The reason we live in a country in which everyone's opinion is supposed to carry equal weight and we all have the Right to express them is because a couple of hundred years ago the Colonists used personally owned Arms to throw off the mantle of the English Monarchy. The fact that Americans can "Keep and Bear Arms" has kept foreign powers from landing troops in CONUS. Some where in the Appalachia or the Ozarks there's a 12 year old girl that can harvest a buck at 700 yards any day of the week and She's not alone in that ability simply because of the 2nd Amendment. Don't begrudge the Sheepdog his calling, the wolves will always be out there somewhere.
