The disqualification of Donald Trump and other legal urban legends

I've seen some of the "Trump can never hold office again" claims in my daily news reading. I've seen some of them shared here on RP. All seem to be based on a reading of the 14th Amendment, Section 3. The folks making those claims need to go back and read every word of that amendment very slowly and carefully. 1st it must be proven that a person did actually engage in the actions that would disqualify them under the 14th Amendment, then there's the last sentence of section 3; "But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."(direct copy/paste). So, It ain't over, until it's over, and someone's unhappy with the result.
