For the price of 1 room in San Diego, if they bought 10 mobile homes sized at 12x40 ($26k apiece x10 = $260,000) then they could build a neighborhood with sewer, power and water with the left over $120k+ to include a piece of land.

And those 10 mobile homes would be destroyed by the recipients in less than a year!
Look at any of the "low income housing projects" that have been built, and rebuilt numerous times in just about every city in the country.
Two major problems:
1) When you GIVE people something for free they feel no sense of ownership and don't take care of it - but they do feel a sense of entitlement to have it replaced when they destroy it.
2) The vast majority of the "homeless" or now "unhoused" population in the US are that way by choice and/or mental illness.

MSG Thomas Currie - No disagreement. But I wonder how many would sign loan papers for them, pay for them and "own them".

SFC Ralph E Kelley - I'm sure some would "sign loan papers" knowing that the 'loan' was going to be paid by taxpayers. Where do you suppose they would get the money to pay for the homes when they have more important expenses they need to cover like booze and drugs.
There are many existing programs that help people who have temporary issues -- the overwhelming majority of the "unhoused" have much deeper problems that won't be fixed just by getting them out of sight in some free housing.

Campaign Ad: Black Lives Don't Matter To Democrats
Democrats don’t want you to see this. They’re scared that I’m exposing what life is like in Democrat run cities. That’s why I’m running for CongressBecause All...
Los Angeles is slowly turning into something from the movie The Last of Us or the Planet of the Apes franchise due to the Decay and crime caused by defunding of police and poor management by Democrats.

LTC (Join to see) Spokane is on it's way. The woman running against the current mayor helped establish a homeless shelter on Sunset Blvd. And police finally caught the homeless person who set something like 12 fires from the shelter to all the way out in the Valley.

Jerry Nadler thinks the rioting in Portland is a "myth."
Jerry Nadler, the Chair of The House Judiciary Committee refuses to disavow Antifa violence and thinks the rioting in Portland is a "myth."
CPL Douglas Chrysler damn, I just thought it was Seattle.
2 months ago, my wife and I drove down from Alberta down to Montana and we went to Great Falls. I was very impressed at Great Falls Montana didn't have any obvious homeless problems. The streets were clear I didn't see tents anywhere and I did not see feces and people asking for money. I also noticed that this was the Cosmopolitan city. I saw black, white, Hispanic and other races working and I know this is a state where people can have open carry and concealed carry.
My wife and I went to a coin shop as well as a pawn shop that had brand new rifles for sale. Extended magazines for sale. AK-47 Sporter type Rifles made in the USA with high capacity magazines, something that would drive the radical left absolutely bonkers. I also noticed that there was also plenty of ammunition.
That is my wife holding a 7K US dollar customized rifle. We were in that coin shop that also sold weapons. It also had vintage slot machines for sale. I know when I was in Washington state walking in Seattle I saw people with open carry holsters. I know that my soldiers at my army unit were saying how drugs were legalized by the Supreme Court of Washington State so some cities were giving fines to drug use to keep them out of the city but anybody could have small quantities of drugs and the cops couldn't really do anything.
In July of 2020, I remember watching TV and seeing all the rioting that KOMO TV was showing happening in Portland and occasionally seeing some riots in seattle. I know our stupid Democrat Jerry Nadler saying that antifa was a myth.

I thought Spokane was a nice city. I didn't know that I had also succumbed to the same left of Vladimir Lenin corruption by local democrats.

LTC (Join to see) - Her plan makes sense - it'll never happen because the majority of voters in the city don't want the problems fixed -- they want to stay victims so they have excuses and handouts.
Apparently either I can't write or you didn't read what I wrote. I never blamed the Republicans and I didn't say she blamed the republicans. I said that the Democrats are still blaming everything on the Republicans.
That she lost or that Baltimore has been blue for 50 years has nothing to do with my comments about her campaign ad. He campaign ad wasn't really about how to fix the problems (besides voting for her), her campaign ad was about the fact that there are problems and blaming the democrats. What I pointed out was that the ad wasn't really any different from typical democrat ads telling black voters that all their problems are someone else's fault.
No one gets elected by saying it's your own fault, get off your ass, stop throwing garbage in the street, stop robbing each other, stop shooting each other.
