Friday, I heard three distinguished African Americans agree that this was the right thing to do those three were Dr Ben Carson, civil rights attorney Leo Terrell and Republican presidential candidate Larry Elder.
I know the hypocritical not so inclusive left will call them the black face of white supremacy, House Negroes and tokens but yet those three made it without affirmative action. Senator Tim Scott is also a fourth one who would probably agree but this goes against the leftist narrative.
BLM can't use the Malcolm X Narrative of changing things by any means necessary.
Just think how many Asians went independent or republican because of discrimination like this?

Prior to using the SATs, Harvard, Princeton and Yale accepted all applicants who met their academic requirements and passed their specific entrance exams. However, back then (1920s) only 5.7% (4.5% White/1.2% Black) of adults (25-29) had a Bachelor's degree in the US*. In fact, according to the US Census from 1920, only 2.77% of students went on to college after high school (disparity from the 4% figure quoted in the link I gave above).

So I'm not sure how true that is?

The city of Seattle voted to get rid of 100 officers but over 250 quit. One of those officers worked under me in our G3 section. He ended up going to Everett PD along with seven other officers who quit Seattle to go to departments that actually supported them. The city of Seattle is a cesspool with no leadership. Black female police chief best who had worked up the ranks was given a pay cut so she quit.
So that's how inclusive the Seattle radical city council is.

I like President Biden's bulletproof limousine is a total loss running into the constitution. Very similar situation with affirmative action being overturned because other court cases mentioned in this conversation shows first discrimination happens and leftist liberals were happy with it.
I wonder how many Asian students became independent or Republican because of this?
Communist China survivor warns Americans affirmative action mimics Maoist system: 'No strangers'...
Xi Van Fleet, a Virginia mom who fled communist China, drew parallels between affirmative action and practices from Mao Zedong's revolution.
Affirmative Action was put in place as an allowable practice via an executive order signed by Republican President Lyndon Johnson in 1965 following the Civil Rights act of 1964. In 1978 the Regents of the University of California v. Bakke decision stated quotas "may not be used to reserve places for minority applicants if white applicants are denied a chance to compete for those places. Although the court outlawed quota programs, it allowed colleges to use race as a factor in making admissions decisions".
President Obama's entire college education took place during a period in which race based admissions practices were explicitly ruled unconstitutional by the supreme court. At no point was requirement set that a given percentage of elected officials be of a minority demographic, or that elected officials be of the majority demographic in a district of an electoral map. Additionally his father was admitted to Harvard in 1961 for graduate school before the civil rights act was even in play. The irony in Harvard now pushing for the acceptability of race based admissions in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College makes my head spin.

Racism is a real thing, no one is denying that here I don't think, but maybe perseverance in the face of adversity matters more.
Affirmative action | Definition, History, & Cases
affirmative action, in the United States, an active effort to improve employment or educational opportunities for members of minority groups and for women.
