APOD: 2022 December 13 - An Artful Sky over Lofoten Islands

Good afternoon, Rallypoint, and welcome to the December 13th edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "An Artful Sky over Lofoten Islands." If you find yourself in Norway some day, and wander up above the 68th parallel and find that the temperature is 50 degrees on a December afternoon, you are probably in the Lofoten Islands. The scenery looks simply marvelous. So in a way, to find ocean, rock, and sky combined as we see in this composite photo doesn't seem too surprising. Still, the photographer deserves at least a hat tip for composition. According to the notes accompanying today's APOD a total of 20 images (10 sky and 10 landscape) were used to produce the final photograph. Given that Lofoten is only ~1,500 miles from the North Pole (and the presence of double ring aurora), you can guess which direction is North.
