Black veterans are less likely to have their benefits claims processed and paid out than their white peers because of systemic problems within the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to a lawsuit filed against the agency Monday.
“A Black veteran who served honorably can walk into the VA, file a disability claim and be at a significantly higher likelihood of having that claim denied,” said Adam Henderson, a student working with the Yale Law School Veterans Legal Services Clinic, one of several groups connected to the lawsuit.

I CALL BS on this one. I see many and I mean many minorities around where I live that have 100% disability ratings getting in and out of their corvettes or BMW's, parking in the handicapped spot because they can then running into a store. I have tried to get my VA disability upgraded due to active-duty injuries that have worsened and all with medical facts and background data and not only did they not upgrade it they tried to downgrade what I already have. How can they discriminate when the record doesn't show race??? When it is in front of a rating official they only see what the medical record shows. This is horse manure...IMHO!!!
