Like I have said all along...If we just enforced the laws we have on the books we would be fine!

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Thank you for saying that, SFC David Reid, M.S, PHR, SHRM-CP, DTM, also! Huge problem where I live, including the "small" stuff which, when enforced, at least slows down if it does not stop bigger problems. Got worse when covid started . . . wondering if if will ever get back to normal, which was already not so satisfactory!

SGT Mary G. probably not...especially with the I hate cops attitude the current leadership is spreading...hate it but I think we are stuck in the twilight zone at least for now.

Because they chose not to flag him in the system. That would have taken too much time and effort by the police. No one will be held accountable not prosecuting him on the prior act. No conviction, no flagging in the system. But by all means keep enacting further 'waste of time' gun laws because they want to keep proving the definition of insanity.

Remember all the places where people were let go from jails and prisons after covid was raging? Some folks in our state were let go who should have been locked up for life, and it is probably not uniquel At least one homicide happened and was reported because of it. However the purpose was to mud-sling during elections - otherwise it seems there was nothing said about the unacceptability.

SGT Mary G. Yep. I remember. My home state did the same thing.

Now there's a federal lawsuit saying the government didn't take care of inmates better during the pandemic.

LTC Trent Klug - Letting inmates loose did not necessarily prevent them from becoming ill, either. As much as folks do not like more laws, rules, regulations, it might be advisable to try to be prepared to prevent the same problem from happening again.<sigh> Perhaps a federal lawsuit will emphasis the need.
