Hard to be effective in the kill or be killed profession when words hurt you - send Iliams to Ukraine and he'll find that the weaponry there doesn't discriminate against feelings

War is hell and I bet we lose a good 1/3 of SM to mental health the next time we are in a really bad one.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Drill instructors cussed at me, they yelled at me, they showed us no mercy, they gave us hell. I survived it all the same as Marines have been for two hundred years. They were toughening us up for what may be coming later on. If it hurts your feelings that bad that someone does this to you maybe, you need to look into another line of work. It's all part of earning the title, "Marine." If you going to crack better there and get discharged than in a fox hole or a combat zone where you could get others killed because you can't handle stress.
