Former Texas Rep. Steve Stockman’s arrest surfaces as feds build case against Trump ally

An effort by the United Arab Emirates to convince the United States with the help of a wealthy real estate investor to name former congressman Stephen Stockman as U.S. ambassador to that country during Donald Trump's presidency unraveled with the lawmaker's 2017 arrest on fraud charges, prosecutors said.
U.S. prosecutors made the statement in a filing late on Thursday in Brooklyn federal court ahead of next month's scheduled criminal trial of Tom Barrack, a billionaire real estate investor and fundraiser for Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. Barrack, charged with acting as a UAE agent without notifying the U.S. attorney general as required, has pleaded not guilty.
The filing, partially redacted, stated that the UAE in early 2017 asked Barrack, who had chaired Trump's inaugural committee and has described the former president as a close friend, to advocate for Stockman's appointment as American ambassador to the Middle Eastern country. An amended version of the filing made on Friday redacted Stockman's name.

There are 11 convicted criminals from Trump's 2016 campaign, Trump's presidency, to include Steve Bannon and Mike Flynn. Trump, himself, was impeached twice by Congress and he faces prosecution.
My question is whether we, the American People, want our USA to be known as the Land Ruled by Convicted Criminals? If we don't care then, let's admit that our Representative Democracy has failed.

According to open source, Trump is in real trouble based on the Mar-a-Lago raids by the FBI, statements by Trump's legal counsel of 12 years and one of Trump's chiefs of staff. His former legal counsel of 12 years says that Trump removed classified documents from the White House for nefarious reasons and that he believes Trump has already leaked some of those documents. The former WH CoS claims that Trump always traveled abroad with unorganized documents in boxes, to include classified material. She claims that Trump removed classified documents from the White House in order to hold the United States hostage, if he lost the reelection.
