A very intresting read and photos. My uncle Bill was in the Battle of the Buldge. He drove a tank there, got out OK and lived into his 80's. He talked a little about it but not a lot. The WW2 vets had to put up with a lot more hardship than us Vietnam vets.

Though the hardships faced in combat are similar, the appreciation they received on coming back was not the average experience of those coming back from Vietnam.. sadly the civilians punished the Nam vets and not the ditzes that were running the war plans/ waging the war.
The best of a Generation were unceremoniously greeted, to say the least.
