And here is today's (July 20th) APOD: "Jupiter and Ring in Infrared from Webb." Jupiter certainly looks different in this image from the new James Web Space Telescope (JWST). I had forgotten that previous missions to Jupiter had detected what appeared to be a ring around the giant planet...and here it is. The Jovian moon Europa (left) looks like a star, doesn't it? Its shadow (left of the Great Red Spot) tells us where the Sun is (off camera to the left). You can mouse over the image from the APOD page and see other features that are labeled.
