Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen great networking opportunity for Veterans.
Wednesday, November 10 at 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Virtual Event
JOIN US in light of Veteran’s Day for a conversation between Patrick Auerbach, our Associate Senior Vice President for Alumni Relations, and Dr. Carl A. Castro, Professor at our School of Social Work. Dr. Castro served for 33 years in the U.S. Army, where he obtained the rank of colonel and learned first-hand that transitions can be tough. He currently serves as a chair of a NATO research group on military veteran transitions, a member for several Department of Defense advisory panels, and the director of USC’s Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans & Military Families.
In this conversation, we will discuss his work on evaluating service members’ transition from military to civilian life, and learn practical ways we as a community can address the frictions and conflicts that stem from transition in our own experiences.
