Politics needs to stay out of the schools, and the parent have a right to voice their opinions about the way teachers are doing their jobs, get rid of the ones that think they are top dog, when in reality, they totally stink Lt Col Charlie Brown

Lt Col Charlie Brown - According to the article, they have THREATENED to leave. They haven't left, yet. "Moving to cut ties," as the article puts is.

There was never any doubt in my mind that this would be walked back. It is obviously incendiary, problematic for continued support of the organization, and, of course, false.
But none of that matters; the letter accomplished its goal.
Step 1) Send fraudulent and false letter to government begging for government action
Step 1a) Government finally gets its excuse to create another program of "authorized censorship."
Step 2) Government creates task force aimed at silencing critics
Step 3) Now that the task force is in place, rescind letter
Step 4) Offer a no-apology apology
Step 5) Get what you wanted, without being held accountable for asking for it
This was the plan all along. The letter was NEVER going to stand and be supported. But it didn't need to.
