APOD: 2021 September 28 - Night of the Perseids

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Night of the Perseids." This 2:36 time lapse video clip was shot in August 2021 at the height of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. The scene is Indian Astronomical Observatory located high in the HImalayan Mountains. The outburst we discussed four days ago (September 24th APOD) wasn't visible here, but there are some excellent fireballs captured. A couple had the distinct green glow of vaporizing nickel. All in all, an excellent job at capturing a night's work.
