No doubt you have learned much from losses and failures of your own as well as vicariously from others. Hopefully you have learned that counting the cost before taking action and committing yourself is a sign of spiritual maturity. No doubt you have demonstrated moral courage and risked much to do so. ‘For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? I hope you and I submit our plans to the LORD and do not resist any changes HE makes to our plans, goals and agenda. LORD, I pray that YOU motivate each of us to stand firm in the faith and to stand up for justice for all. 'But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. I pray for eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart sensitive to YOU for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or hears this prayer LORD. I thank you for purifying our character through sanctification of the soul of each of us dear LORD. ‘But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.’ [Ephesians 5:13-16 ESV]
I lift each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are nervous, anxious, or fearful about the near to mid-term future for themselves and their loved ones. Remember the LORD is in complete control of all creation. Those who place their trust in human government are foolish, whether or not the government is trustworthy or corrupt or a mixture as usually is the case. ‘Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. [Psalm 20:6-8 ESV]
I lift the most vulnerable including the outcasts of society, the preborn children, those preborn diagnosed at risk of autism, gender risk of abortion and their family members to YOU, my LORD. I pray that YOU convict and turn the heart/soul of President Joe Biden, his wife Jill and Vice President Kamala Harris away from supporting and Federal funding of induced abortion towards supporting life. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.' [Psalm 139:13-14a ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD on wisdom
