Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse and let us remember everyone deployed this Friday.
Once again, I am at the topic from an angle that is more the counselor's point of view, LOL
I think many people would be happier and more satisfied with the route they are on if they took into account their skills, beliefs and talents and harnessed them in a more productive way. I see a lot of people who are 10 or 15 years into a career or a life path who feel unfulfilled and unhappy. If you don't use what you have; your God granted talents and skills, I think you will always feel incomplete. It may not have to be in your primary occupation but you should find a way (perhaps in volunteer work) to harness those things that bring you satisfaction.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Your message about God given talents that need to be harnessed is "spot on" today Charlie. Thank you for all the other quotes you shared as well. Have a great day.. and weekend...

“The message for today is about ‘Harness’ and that can take on a lot of different meanings today. Harnessing power, harnessing a dream, your purpose, your attitude. Leaders can harness power through their actions, influence, and vision for people and the organization. Having a positive outlook and attitude can go a long way in harnessing yourself.

‘When you adopt a positive mindset, you are harnessing the power of choice.’ — Victor Schueller

May you have that positive attitude to harness your goals, dreams, and purpose in life; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Harnessing the 5 C’s for Successful Healing: Courage, Clarity, Choice, Compassion, and Commitment is another way we can help ourselves and others that have Invisible Wounds/Disabilities.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I hope that you are equally-yoked with those you have allied yourself with or lead to accomplish your plans and objectives. When we share the load with trustworthy people, the effort is much more evenly distributed and the results can be exponential. I pray that you and I are blessed with discernment when we choose business, endeavor and ministry partners. ‘In return (I speak as to children) widen your hearts also. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?’ [2 Corinthians 6;13-14 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray that the LORD blesses each of you with discernment as you are faced with decisions especially when there does not seem to be a good choice available. I pray that you each have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is showing you and telling you. God loves us more than we can understand. HE is always available to take burdens from us. The yoke the world offers is loathsome. The yoke the LORD offers is perfect for each of us. 'Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’ [Matthew 11:28-30 ESV]
I lift deployed service members, federal, state and agency agents to YOU LORD. I am grateful that YOU prepare each of use for what we will face in the future. YOU shape us and allow/ordain us to go through challenges and trials to firm our character. YOUR training of us is perfect. I pray that YOU guide these deployed teams to meet their objectives as well as YOUR own for their lives. I pray that the loved ones of each deployed individual are able to rest in YOUR arms, dear LORD. I pray for salvation for each one. ‘we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.’ [Romans 5:3b-5 ESV]
I pray for peace and comfort for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters suffering acutely from physical pain, psychiatric pain, emotional pain, and grief. YOUR love for each of us is prefect. We know that perfect love drives out fear. I trust that YOU are driving out fear from each person suffering acutely and YOU are blessing each with comfort. Motivate those who are great listeners to come alongside those who are suffering dear LORD. ‘Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.’ [3 John 1:2-4 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members are healthy in soul and body.
