APOD: 2020 November 29 - Verona Rupes: Tallest Known Cliff in the Solar System

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Verona Rupes: Tallest Known Cliff in the Solar System." First hint: it's not on any planet (that doesn't help much, I know...Saturn has 53 named moons). So if you were thinking a moon somewhere, you were on the right track. In 1986, Voyager 2 gave us this glimpse of Miranda, the smallest and innermost of Uranus's five round satellites. Named after the character in William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', Miranda was discovered in 1948. The gorge marked by Verona Rupes is twice as deep as the Marianas Trench here on Earth.
