A North Carolina police officer was airlifted to a hospital early Saturday morning after he was beaten while trying to make an arrest — and the attack was livestreamed on Facebook, left his face bloody, and featured laughing onlookers.

Domestic violence calls are the worst. He should not have attempted to make an arrest without a second Officer there. Or a third. DV calls are high priority.

You can actually deputize someone on the spot and order them to assist you the try enforcing it. They will continue video recording and laugh at you. I've had my ass kicked more than once. Sometimes the bad guy got away but most the time he ended up in the back of the car and being driven to the emergency room to be cleared by a doctor for booking. People don't want to know how the sausage is made. They just want to know that they're safe. That is until it's their son or daughter high on some shit it goes off on the cop and then all hell breaks loose. That's why I got away from it. I know of so many that are retiring at 25 years instead of going for the magic 30 and a full pension.

I too would have shot him. If he had given me that much of an ass whooping I was in danger of losing my weapon. If I couldn't reach my weapon I carried a knife and I would have got it him if I could. More elaborate departments have an orange button on the microphone that you may press did immediately puts out an officer needs help call and if the system is set up for it you GPS location. It didn't look like he had that kind of radio. They're $4,000 each. LAPD has them.
