Glad I have been out for 43 years. It's past time to restore discipline and respect in the military.

Over the past 20 plus years, the Army has: allowed Soldiers to graduate BCT without having meeting the minimum APFT scores and allowed Soldiers to graduate BCT without qualifying with the rifle, I guess it's time to have them untrained in instant obedience to orders too.
A long time ago we had an Army like this and in June 1950, we sent that Army to Korea. It was routed in its first action. The Army vowed "no more Task Force Smith's". This is how you get more Task Force Smith's.

Softening the training isn't doing these troops or units any favors, in fact when they are needed most some will fail and others will die. There are no time outs and hurt feelings group hug sessions in combat.

So true. I only hope all of our ITs are combat vets who can share your absolutely correct philosophy.
