Two things go quickly in the chow hall. One is the salad eaten by the vegetarians and the other is the deep fried "whatever" eaten by the rest... (often unidentifiable unless labeled)
Maybe they should try "air fryers"?

We have a small air fryer in our RV. Works nice and doesn't produce nearly the mess of deep fryers.

SPC Kevin Ford - Yes exactly and they are made to commercial sizes as well for cafeteria kitchens. The Army needs to do the replacement.

If the Army gets rid of deep fryers; then, Soldiers may actually be able to taste the chow... oh the horror of chow hall food! Not enough ketchup in the world! lol

Wait - Perhaps make it a seasonal thing that's how mess-halls are heated in the winter.
