SOCOM Wants 6.5mm Sniper Weapon for Longer-Range Kills

I want one too.

Seems like the military is really looking to the future in fielding a new soldier ready weapon system. Am I right in thinking the change in calibers would also mean less logistic problems because the same round would be available across the board?

Wouldn't mind one for deer hunting up in northern Michigan
