Good Tuesday, March 17, 2020 morning my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs
1. I concur that savoring abstracts such as life, love, fellowship and great times is wonderful and to be honest it is much more poignant than any taste of food, or drink could possibly be.
2. I savor my relationship my Lord and Savior which cost so much, and HE freely sacrificed HIMSELF.
3. I savor my relationship with my darling wife of the past 20 1/4 years.
4. I savor my relationship with each of my four adult sons.
5. To leverage your food metaphor, my friend Mikel, I savor and relish good conversation, listening to good music, reading great books and fellowshipping with trusted friends.
I lift those adopted sons and daughters of YOURS who have suffered deep loss including widows, widowers, divorcees, children of divorced parents, children of deceased parents, and those afflicted with debilitating diseases and injuries. I pray dear God that YOU empower each one to fully grieve – bless each one with peace and joy as they grieve and renew the mind of each one in YOUR perfect timing.
I lift the federal authorities, medical researchers, law enforcement, EMT personnel and others involved in treatment, care for and protection from coronavirus 19. I pray that YOU bless each with wisdom and endurance to do good and that YOU will enable the researchers to develop an effective cure for this coronavirus and an ability to quickly develop treatment for future strains.
I pray that parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, extended families, coworkers will soon be confident to gather for fellowship, picnic, play, and savor life together in freedom from fear.
