Actually told my wife this when it all started to spin up. I left the 401K so I can swap over when it is low- your dollars still have value- and you own shares most times. Leave em and capitalize on it when you feel it hits a low. It will come back- depite what teh media likes to portray as dooms day...it isn't.

LTC (Join to see) - I had responded almost in kind on a FB post. My response was about the extreme volatility to the stock market right now and fits here as well Col:

Up 700 this morning. Get ready to watch this be the trend until the next crisis through the election. The take away here is we have allowed US business to go over seas to increase profits- while we pay more and cover the tariff cost and help others economies. We will see this all over- the oil war is not helping and uneducated/under informed citizens make this worse- and the media fans the flames because why would we want to be responsible and help calm the public. The first stupid question a reporter asks at a car wreck or fire- how do you feel....misery sells better than happiness.

LTC John Shaw - not just amazing- sad. We are innovative as a culture and have always prided ourselves on that innovation. Somewhere along the way the desire to make more outpaced the desire to be the best period. I am not shaming capitalism in any way, but how much is enough and what happened to the American pride ?

Maj Marty Hogan - Why not shame capitalism!?! No one wants to pay more for medical supplies; therefore, they go to a low cost location and buyers go for lowest cost if products are of consistent quality. The government sometimes must make a market or there needs to be enough of a quality difference. It seems to me for national security purposes the government needs to make the market.

LTC John Shaw - your last two sentences are key, but govt oversight of something that large grows more pork. Quality is hard to come by today. I know the $28 we paid for one aspirin last time my wife was in the hospital was a bit much.

what if this is a test of a weaponized biological to see the effects of a pandemic on the US and world economies. Does it prove that we can be quickly brought to economical collapse by the introduction of fear? Or will we use this as a teaching moment and realize that the world economy is great but you still have to maintain a manufacturing base for the basics? It does point out our weaknesses vividly. This is a segue into energy production. We are wiring Chinese made wind mills directly into our archaic electrical grid. Who knows where that can lead.

Our TEAM of military retired and disabled is wondering if the missle that NK launched has something to do with this virus. We're still researching what kind of missile did he launch as a test. Stay tune!

I would say it's dangerous to suggest it was a biological weapon, especially since experts have found where it originated - unfortunately from my favorite animal: bats. If anyone was going to utilize a biological weapon, they would also most likely choose one much more deadly. If we had been working on developing wind mills rather than trying to save coal, we would have our own to use rather than Chinese-made ones. I doubt the fact that they're made in China will have any effect though. Regardless, these kinds of things are sensational and people like Alex Jones wouldn't have listeners if we went with facts rather than assumptions or conspiracies.
