APOD: 2020 February 10 - Solar Eclipse over the UAE

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Solar Eclipse over the UAE." The annular solar eclipse that occurred last December 26th serves as a backdrop for this image taken in the United Arab Emirates. Unlike the 2017 total eclipse in the US that blocked the entire Sun, an annular eclipse produces the "ring of fire" effect where the outer circumference of the Sun is still visible from behind the Moon. The thought and planning (not to mention the potential cost) that went into capturing this photo is IMHO a credit to the photographer.
