Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs I see too many people start on a road and then put themselves on cruise control. This is not a way to be successful in life. It's too easy to miss the correct turn or a better route to where you want to be. Periodically, get out that map and see where you are and where you want to be and make a course adustment when necessary. It's better to try to steer when you are in control than when you are not.

I pray that you and I are spiritually mature and that we routinely submit our plans to the LORD and are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and direction, my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
Thank YOU, dear God for dwelling with the soul of each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters as our Comforter and guiding us through the ups and downs of life. YOU ensure we stay within YOUR appointed boundaries as YOU steer us towards complete sanctification of our soul as we leave this mortal coil.
I pray that each of the elected and appointed leaders in Federal, State and local government who are YOUR adopted sons and daughters are blessed with wisdom, humility and great listening skills. Let YOUR light shine through each to those government officials who do not yet have a personal relationship with YOU.
I lift elected and appointed government officials, leaders, and managers to YOU dear God. Enable each to become servant leaders who are focused on guiding those they are responsible for as well as listening to the those they answer to. I pray that YOU motivate people to work together toward honorable goals. I pray that YOU guide each one and steer them to become less partisan in nature and willing to work towards what is best for those they answer to.
