Just read an article claiming almost 30,000 have died in the quarantined province. Interesting times.

I understand the concern with the Corona virus outbreak, I truly do, but it's insignificant when compared to the flu. According to the CDC website: "CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010."

That is assuming they are telling the truth about the number infected and the number that died. If it is less concerning than the flu why quarantine entire cities, shut down schools for weeks and shut down factories causing large economic hardships? Something doesn’t make sense with this. The reported numbers don’t fit with their behavior...
