I would have reminded him that he needs us way more than we need him- but I would have said it in German or Russian to let him fumble around a little bit. I am quite sarcastic and never vote for me for President- I would so put the pompous leaders in their place. I would also hand him the bill for Vietnam and the clean up of their mess there as well. This would be such a standard answer on my part that foreign leaders would just shut up- I would not Twitter it either. Straight up in your face in every interview. I would remind them they are leaders in pollution, corruption, and their own history is as sordid as any other. Sorry touched a cord....

Great comments. I agree. France and their high and mighty attitude have screwed around and caused more than their fair share of issues. Vietnam was a biggie. Cause a problem, ask us to help and bail.
I will never forget their thankfulness after WWII. Running cattle onto airfields etc. They are another Socialist country that hasn't been a very good ally since before the war.
In Afghanistan they had a psych warfare unit at Bagram. They wouldn't talk to us, hardly, and constantly complained to Garrison about EVERYTHING!

While I'm not a France lover, I have to give them thumbs up for not putting up with false claims by Trump that we seem to have become immune to in the US.

Perhaps he should take care of his business, rather worrying about ours.

SrA John Monette Do you do any research? About 44% pay no federal income taxes in USA. And....

In 2016, the top 1 percent of taxpayers accounted for more income taxes paid than the bottom 90 percent combined. The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid roughly $538 billion, or 37.3 percent of all income taxes, while the bottom 90 percent paid about $440 billion, or 30.5 percent of all income taxes.”

Now as to France.

SrA John Monette What would you like to see him do? Since taxation is the responsibility of Congress and all he can do is approve or veto a bill regarding said taxes.
