Ma'am I agree with you. Where is the sense of urgency by both parties to resolve this unfortunate situation as quickly as possible?

This remains an American public health crisis and the grandstanding on all sides is not helpful - but neither would be rushing out ill-considered or incomplete legislation. A bill still in mark-up on 20 Nov is not going to get voted out in both houses, signed, appropriated and start issuing actual grant $$s to local groups... before this Christmas. That's a red herring. Meanwhile, the VA continues to have more than 40,000 job vacancies in health care alone so - the secretary has plenty of things to be doing regarding mental services health in his own house. How about all the partisans simmer down, get their eyes back on the ball, and get this done right, and as fast as possible! Meanwhile - we all can be supporting our local Veteran Service Organizations: VFW, AL, etc. and volunteering locally to make sure the hotlines are manned this holiday season, and that Veterans in crisis have places they can turn. Thanks Robert for keeping this issue in the forefront!
