20 years ago, I graduated from the Army Mountain Warfare School. (AMWS)
14-years ago, I graduated from the Sapper Leader Course (SLC).
These were two of the best courses I have ever attended. We were fed knowledge through a firehose, and tested on it in a patrol setting.
The AMWS set me up for later success in Ranger School, Sapper School and my various assignments through out the army, from Platoon Leader in Korea to Combat Advisor with Team 9805 in Afghanistan.
It is amazing, how the time flies by, but the training holds fast.
