US actor 'staged attack over salary'

I am very glad they are charging him with a crime. This was disgraceful. And it throws doubt on real situations where people have been attacked as well as wasting police time and resources.

If what He said had actually happened then of course there would be complete outrage as it should be. To make something this serious up though and for financial gain and create doubt and tension where there wasn't any ? If convicted He certainly deserves any punishment that is rendered. It seems from statements this isn't the first false report He has filed either but instead a steady pattern of deceit for His own gain.

Anyone who would perpetrate a hoax to garner... whatever he was trying to get... is a no crap, first grade POS.
Many, many friends, brothers and sisters in arms, my wife... have experienced real racism, real attacks on their person, real threats. Things like this really do happen in the real world, all the time.
This BS devalues each and every true story that needs to be told.

I don't think he should be jailed. No doubt, he will claim some mental health issue and check into counseling or some such. I do think he should be shunned and publically humiliated as a fraud and a huckster that played in the zeitgeist of our times for personal gain.
