A corroding democratic order

Oligarchy chaffs under the thumb of American dominance in the world. The Pax Americana prevents them from rising above the threshold of petty tyranny. Sadly, America's allies have leaned too heavily on that peace cutting defense spending to the bone so that they can live lavish lifestyles at our expense. Maybe it's time to withdraw, at least a little, and allow the dogs of war to bite some of them on the ass, to remind them of the chaos that awaits if America falls from the catbird seat
