Time to look beneath the surface and see what lies in the depths. Too many people are concerned with surface things and then they don't understand why their lives are shallow and unfulfilling. I try to see who lies within; when I work with those who are hurt, their beauty shines through the cracks in their surface. Encourage the light, the beauty and the strength of those who are damaged on the surface for within lies the real person. What can you do to acknowledge the beauty within the soul of someone you know?

This made me think of a lovely lady I once worked with - she had a HUGE purple birth-mark on her face - highly nticeable. She also had a huge chip on her shoulder when meeting her for the first time. I was taught as a small child to not stare, so I didn't. After working with her a couple of days, her attitude disappeared - funny thing - so did the birth-mark. She is/was a beautiful lady and when you got past the initial shock, you SAW that and just simply didn't notice the mark any more.
