Hmmm ... Hard to say. Deployed units train for the mission they are doing via rehearsals an d preparations, and Battle Drills.
However if the deployment mission isn't waht the Army is anting to do - Jungle Fighting, Combined Arms Eorpean Land Warfare etc - then it would hinder the unit.
