I don't think we understand what makes people who they are yet and how to preserve or replicate that. AIs are probably close but even if you clone a person, there is no guarantee about their personality/self

How many Terminator films have we had? War Games (kinda old to remember that one), Deadpool’s rival in the second movie (how many times did the cyborg get blasted), and we cannot forget Data from Star Trek. I’ll leave the sex doll thing for another conversation. But is it that they’re already here, and us thinking we made ‘it’ only defines who we are or want to be? Technology is moving forward but the human race is staying the same. Skynet is more real then we give ourselves credit for.

I dont think it will work the way people think it will. When you take your memories and upload them into another body or a computer. You are only you to other people, but the essence (spirit or soul) that was you is dead. I don't want this for myself
