A suspect was apprehended following reports of shots fired and multiple fatalities in Annapolis, Maryland, Thursday afternoon outside the Capital Gazette newsroom, Anne Arundel Sheriff Ron Bateman told Fox News.
The shooting broke out around 2:30 p.m. on Bestgate Road, Fox 5 DC reported, citing officials.
Police warned about the possibility of more shooters, however that has not officially been confirmed. They confirmed on Twitter it was an "active shooter" situation and that the building had been "evacuated."

I had just finished writing to a local newspaper editor with whom I had some disagreement over his large amount of story space devoted to not only mentioning the trump protestors meeting and rally point but the Facebook posting involved prior to President Trumps visit to Fargo yesterday.
He spent 50% of his article on those malcontents... a microscopic contingent less than 1/4% of those who came to the rally yesterday.
I wrote him asking if he would have given such notice to any puny contingent of protestors against a Democrat President or candidate.
I asked him to send me evidence to the contrary if available.
Having read your posting I immediately went back in and posted him condolences Ford the tragedy and apologetically brought up the fact that the continued narrative of divisiveness maintained by the MSM... on either side (had to do that)...must contribute to the continued shaking of crazies from the apple tree. The media refuses to acknowledge their accountability in the issue... no doubt they glory in it as if they are agents of positive change. Wonder how they will cast this one.
I picked up my phone to make a call after... I of course was accosted by the ads which Silicon Valley has seen fit to burden my phone with each and every time I pick it up.
The ad today really struck me. It was for a game called “3D sniper”. Featuring a military style sniper with a rifle as the picture.
Just who in the hell is directing that product placement? Those who have an anti 2nd amendment agenda I have little doubt. They glory in every unhinged lunatic murdering innocents.
Every time they have one more chance to take a little chip out of the second amendment they are overjoyed.
Trust me. They won’t go after the guns. That’s impossible. They will go after the Ammo.
That’s a well established strategy that works.

SGT Gregory Lawritson - He didn’t get killed then? Good. He may very well be a positive living agent for change. He can’t have helped but think that if he had had access to a firearm that he might have saved lives.
