The best way to predict your future is to create it. ~Abraham Lincoln
Every decision you make, each action you choose will write your future. What went before cannot be changed, use what you've learned to guide you going forward.

Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs great motivational quotes today; I like Eleanor Roosevelt - " The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
The beauty of Americans is if things aren't going the way you want, we can get help and make the changes to improve our future.

Have a Blessed and great Monday Mikel and family and RP family.

A wonderfully thoughtful group of quotes today, COL Mikel J. Burroughs. Having had serious medical issues recently, it has made me feel more introspective about my own death. As our own past lives and memories begin to increase, our lives and futures must have need to lessen or decrease by necessity. As I age I naturally begin to become more thoughtful of my own inevitable mortality and death which is approaching closer as each day passes. This is not meant to sound or be pessimistic, nor is it meant to sound or be hopeless or negative. It is only meant to be realistic. I always liked the quote from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar where Caesar says:

"Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear;
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come.
Act II, scene 2, line 33.

I believe time is precious. All we truly have is the past to help guide us, the present and the work we choose to engage in, and the accomplishment of that work which hopefully promises a better future for us all.
