I think it is the right thing to do. Our House of Representatives numbers are based on the number of citizens. So we need to know that.

No it doesn't kerr, it's a census for representation, read it again. This time slowly. CONTEXT... "vote" doesn't exist in that paragraph. "The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand"

Suspect it has something to do with the Constitution requiring a count of all inhabitants every 10 years. Note the wording is inhabitants, not citizens, so betting somewhere down the line some bureaucrat decided they could ensure getting people to participate in the census by threatening legal action. Since so much in everyday life counts on accurate census data an accurate count is really essential.

Maj. Oyler I would have to be OK , with that silly argument with it since it would be within the Constitutionto do so.
I would not have to like it but I am sworn to defend the constition. Do you think the Constition is somehow optional?

The Democrats never worried about getting my absentee ballot to me on time when I was on a ship in the middle of the ocean somewhere.

LT Brad McInnis - I don't doubt that. The latest I received a ballot was five months after the election. Mailed my taxes once (on time) in the Red Sea and received a bill from IRS for late payment in July. I wrote a really nasty letter telling them to send the bill for interest and penalties to the Chief of Naval Operations, c/o the Pentagon. Never heard from them again - often wondered if Admiral Boorda paid it!

Absentee ballots from military were never treated correctly, it always seemed at if they were not that important.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I already explained to you what you do that irritates people. Speaking of which you just proved you are an idiot.
I gave you a pass previously.
Never heard the one about keeping your mouth shut and being thought a fool?
Obviously... or you were so confident in yourself that it never occurred that it might be you? SSgt Christopher Brose
