Great man - He never gave up on the troops. I was lucky enough to see him in Thailand in the 60's.

I saw him at Korat AB in the 60's. There was a Army base almost nest door to Korat at that time. I later ran across a man that was stationed there at the same time but I didn't know him over there.

MSgt John McGowan I was sent to the 561st Engineering Company in Korat - It was after my first month there that we picked up and headed north to Sakhon Nakhon. We were a very mobile company (around 300 of us).

I never had an opportunity to go to a show, but I appreciated their sacrifice for the troops. They were great entertainers and morale boosters just knowing they made themselves available to the war effort.
