Interesting thought today Col. I try not to get stuck in a rut and try to step out of my routine to help stay creative. The routine is fine on days I am not at 100%, but if I stay there I feel I will be running in place. Going to side with Sharma today. I will take a chance and do something today COL Mikel J. Burroughs

Maj Marty Hogan It's always a challenge to keep the topics interesting 365 days out of the year, but we're going to keep lugging away at it. I get inpsired by individuals like you (the Top Influencers) and everyday individuals that I run into before I post in the mornings. Now that I've got to science and solid routine, but then I break it up and get work done for thre or four different non-profit organizations, take care of the house, the wife,, my mother of 82 years and the list goes on. There isn't enough time in the day to keep up with me brother - LOL! Have a great day Marty and hell yes, take a chance at something new brother! You never know what the benefits or outcome might be.

Thanks for the nudge COL Mikel J. Burroughs . So often we go through our day on auto pilot. At the end of the day we have no idea what we ate, or said or did. Mindfulness is the key to breaking the habit of "cruise control" and even a small change can help. Can you take a break and focus on what is around you? Can you switch up which hand you hold your pen or use your mouse? Anything that makes you connect to the here and now. Try it.

I found that one of the advantages of working at an aquarium was that on those "autopilot days" you just needed to go sit in front of some exhibit for a few minutes and watch what's going on inside the acrylic. Always came away rejuvinated.

Routine is not what happens where I work, each day is different, even in the morning before I come to work. Have a wonderful day ma'am.

"Stop and Smell the Roses." As you do your daily routine, most don't see, hear or smell the things that are happening from point A to B.
When I was traveling to work yesterday morning, I noticed a new building that I never even seen being built, some school children at a school bus stop at 6am that got my attention (Why so early?), and I heard some heavy equipment in the distance still at work.
With all that said, I wondered what I missed from the bedroom to the front door before I left to work.
True story, a friend one morning went out the front door to go to work, he then stopped and wondered, something wrong. He went back in his house and there on the couch was a drunk individual sleeping. No harm done, the individual was just to intoxicated, he thought that he was in his own house.
With all that said, sometimes it's good to change Routine and then, "Stop and Smell the Roses."
Be careful out there, "It's your life, protect it." Salute!

Yes, sir COL Mikel J. Burroughs Sometimes you are presented with an opportunity to choose your adventure. A left turn, a right turn, and about face. These days I try to also focus on changing my mind on how I approach daily situations as well. That lovely ebb and flow of exerting your personal dominance and affable affection for others can shift according to your frame of mind. There are always circumstances where you can pick a different action or choose your words differently. It creates a great learning experience where you can see the results quickly. Also, it's my mum's birthday so YAY!! Don't forget that a forward march is sometimes good. Then you can see where you are going. Or do a reverse and then a forward march and go back to the beginning sometimes and see where you have been. Because sometimes memories are good also.
