Thanks for reminding us about the use of motorcycles which replaced horse cavalry for reconnaissance and screening as well as messenger services for our Army and many others around the world SGT John " Mac " McConnell.
The Germans learned early on to use motorcycles in their Blitzkrieg tactics which combined aircraft, tanks, motorized infantry and artillery and included motorcycles with weapons as well.
I appreciate the video share of early military motorcycles and the men who rode them.

As late as the 1960s, West German Army utilized motorcycles. Not at all sure what their functions were -- some people said they were scouts & others said they were couriers. Each Bundeswehr motorcyclist had a Uzi 9 mm submachine gun strapped to his chest.

Wouldn't mind having one of those old motorcycles. Especially with the original military paint job, and decals.
