Retired in 1994, as a Parole Manager (Major) following a criminology career. Served as a Parole Agent & Special Deputy Sheriff. Also worked for two bondsmen as a "bounty hunter" in addition to work as a part-time college instructor in criminal justice. My U.S. Army experience motivated me to seek higher education & career opportunities. Participated in numerous professional training courses. Appointed "Fellow of the Academy of Police Science" Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) certified Elected Chairman of 2 community corrections advisory boards

Crewman, Squad Leader
Served in 1st Infantry Division 1961-1964. Assigned to Ft. Riley but had TDY throughout CONUS -- Ft. Irwin, Little Creek, Ft. Leonard Wood, etc. In 1963, my 1st Battle Group, 28th Infantry "Lions of Cantigny" conducted Operation Long Thrust VI, augmenting Berlin Brigade -- was present in Berlin during President Kennedy's Ich bin ein Berliner visit 26 JUN 63. Served as 81mm mortar crewman & as a gunner & squad leader 106mm recoilless rifle. In 2012, I was appointed Distinguished Member of the 28th Infantry Regiment due to several history articles I wrote & were published.
