I've been in the agriculture field since I could look over the steering wheel of a tractor and drive it. It is hard work, but it helps get rid of the frustrations, it's better to beat up a clod of dirt than a person. I was straight Guard time, but it sure helped me to get rid of some anger issues.

My first job was on a farm bailing hay. It was definitely hard work but It built great character. I have to say though I don't miss having itchy arms from hay! Lol

i have a small farm where i'm growing lots of food. it can be therapeutic; but, it can also be a downright pisser. i farm without the use of pesticides or herbicides; so, sometimes mother nature is cruel.
we had some beautiful peaches.....there were over a dozen left on the tree and the next day they were all gone.
same with our watermelons.
its a fight to keep this stuff sometimes. and not in a good way. also you've got to be on top of it. this is some bolted lettuce that i didn't get too fast enough.

SPC Jeff Hogan, M.S., M.P.S. - being organic has it's down side, but at least your not putting those chemical ingredients into your body. I've been an organic gardener since the late '70's. Fertilizer comes from the barn.

It's really close to where I work actually. I've been wanting to go check it out for a while now.
