277 Fury Vs 5.56 NATO: Should You Switch Like the Military?

The more I read and ponder on the 277(6.8×51mm), the more I like it. I do not have, nor do I want, a long gun that eats 5.56 NATO. I'm a rabid fan of .30 Cal. To have a round that almost equals the ballistics of a .308W with less recoil, that's a round I want to be trying. I'm not jumping on it right now because of prices and ammo availability. When the logistics get better(when I can find one in a pawn shop), and more companies start producing the round, all I could find was Sig branded although Lake City is doing the production runs, I'll probably become a dedicated user.
