I tried to watch the whole video brother, but your eyes were killin me. I saw pain, and I wanted to yell at you to pick it up, make em smile, and so would we.....but I couldn't. Didn't think it'd help and many wouldn't understand what I wanted to say. So I'll tell you here....pick the chin up, ruck up, and lets Charlie Mile......won't get any easier, won't be less painful, but at least we smiled, we laughed, and what we left behind, can't trip us up going forward. I wish you and your family the absolute best. I'm not going to say "get better"......you've heard it already, heard it enough, and I KNOW you're already better. One foot in front of the other.

Working in healthcare is without a doubt a TEAM effort! For our patients to successfully recover & heal we need them, their support network, their primary care team & all the other interdisciplinary team members to rally with & provide the needed support! I wouldn't be alive today had it not been for a Police Officer & 3 CNA's stepping in & holding back an escalated patient who had managed to get me in a choke hold & was about to smash my noggin into the concrete floor! So yes... I have profound respect for my LEO's & all those who work in emergent care situations! BTW rambling is my middle name! ;-P So no need to apologize you're a kindred spirit! SGT Gregory Lawritson - I make it a point NOT to vote up anything that deals with death or a family member. In your case, I couldn't find hurt in your words, but I saw where there was, where you were beaten down by the circumstances, and humbled beyond belief. I'm sorry for your families loss brother, but I have to ask this: this child was your blood. He was the culmination of hopes, dreams, and prayers all given to you. You got to enjoy life with him for a good while, and when the chips were down, be bounced back and enjoyed life WITH YOU. Greg, you lost the physical body of your son, but the memories and spirit are right there in your head and heart, also standing tall waiting for you when it's your turn to get past Sr. Pete (lets not rush it...you still have a lot of work to do here, and I personally don't want to see you go).
I'm not in the top three brother. Not this asshole. My personal top three are those who bring fact based knowledge to the table. I'm usually not one of em. We talk and it's an easy conversation like we knew each other decades before, didn't agree with everything, but remained TRUE to each other as friends.
