I had to laugh when I read the New York Times article with a similar title. I lost my health care coverage when the ACA was rolled out at the end of June 2013. The VA picked up my healthcare coverage in October of that year since I am 80% service-connected disabled. My wife had no coverage until I retired in October of 2016.

It seems too many pundits have bought the Kool-Aid that the government should provide healthcare coverage for all citizens. I hope that we will return to the days when the Government oversees medical practices and treatments but gets out of the business of attempting to provide it.

I readily agree. I have paid for my own insurance all my life. I bought what best suited me and it has worked well. I am afraid this country has passed the turning point and the majority of people now want the government to provide everything. It is a shame.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - so true of Conservatives. My wife is Pro-Life and I'm Pro-Choice from the point of view that I'm not going to tell a woman what they can do with their body; it's not that I think abortion is good. What they do don't impact me; they're the ones that live with the consequences.
