I think that this music is great but then I keep wondering where the 8-track player is. I had a good friend from the early 90's who had songs like these in 8-track tapes that he compiled. He preferred them to cassettes because he had like 6 hours of music on one side of the tape. It sounded good to me.

I never owned an 8-track player or tapes although I had friends with cars who did COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I preferred the standard cassette player. In Germany I strapped a cassette player between the rear seats in the Dodge Omni [destined for Iran when the hostage crisis hit] that I acquired at Bremerhaven in April 1981.
I learned to switch tapes and operate the player while driving 100 MPH on the autobahn. I had trouble using it while staring at it but had no trouble using in behind my back.
