The DNC is tone deaf, they lost because they were too far left for the majority of American's and their reaction is to go further left. Socialism sounds great on a pamphlet but it sucks when you actually implement it and plunge people into poverty and despair. We have had nearly 8 years of socialist job killing, economy crushing policies. That is exactly how we got a loud mouthed unfiltered capitalists who says what he thinks rather than a smooth polished politician. Americans wanted to pivot away from the left, and the DNC read the tea leaves backwards. I just read an article from one of the political prognosticators who is predicting another thumping for the DNC in the next national election in 2018. I suspect that he will be proven correct.

Um no. They lost because the electoral college didn't vote for their candidate. Now the weird thing is that record high stock market performance (yup - sorry...) made no difference to the EV'ers. So obviously the voters were not exactly middle class but not exactly rich either. Its weird.

I just watched a Kieth Olbermann video. Funniest crazy rant of the year! They kept Pelosi, and added Chuck Schumer for the Senate minority. They are doubling down on what got them beat in the first place. Its like a slow motion train wreck.

The leaders of the DNC need to step out of their "Echo Chamber" and start listening to their lay membership. They had plenty of warning signs but ignored them all in favor of their own "narrative".

They have not had their "tea party" moment yet. There are a large group of liberals who feel that the party is full of people not living up to their elected calling. The Bernie supporters by and large did not support Hillary 100%. That shows a rift. I wouldn't be surprised to see a re-shaping of the party similar to what happened to the republicans.

PO3 Donald Murphy - Actually they have. If you look at Obama Dems in 12, you also had some elections for seats also. Many dems at the time thought it would be a swell idea to get away from a "toxic" president. None of them are in office now, but I could be mistaken. To me that WAS their moment, and while it was "handled", the crack has gotten wider allowing the former dems to get even by drumming HRC right out of any chance at being POTUS. I look at the GOP and what they sent as candidates in the begininng, and none were "real possible winners". They like the dems wanted a particular person to win, but never saw Trump actually in any position to win. Trump like any other person would, highlight what makes his "special", use the audience as voting weapons and ride that horse in for the win. Trump is crazy if he thinks he's getting two terms. No possible way. Pence will not want to run as his VP again, knowing what he now knows. What he did with the job thing in Indiana was genius. Do all the leg work on something he already had been working on, then to make the case of being a "Team player", allowed Trump to come in and "save the day". Since then, when you hear about this, Trump screams how "HE" did it, not Pence or even say it was a team effort. That is going to bite his ass later on. The dems have at the moment anyone who really can deal with Trump. Warren would be a good start, Biden and Sanders would be too old, and the second HRC wakes up and thinks she has a chance at winning anything other than another day above ground, is a fool.

Dems are all about the social experimentation of "let the govt take care of you". Well that far left thinking and the fact that the moderates/right wingers finally saw a little bit of the light. Far left Dems are all about globalism and open borders and one grand economy. I say there is NOTHING wrong with a healthy dose of Nationalism and xenophobia. If you want to immigrate to this country, do it the right way and I have no issue. Simply cross the border and hide, I have a BIG issue. Lets continue to give away the store to illegals and those who are to lazy to earn a living and we'll likely see another crash that would have our grand parents & great grand parents spinning in their graves. WE simply CANNOT afford to continue paying out $$ to those who are not entitled. While I kow this will NEVER happen, we need to stop giving foreign aid to countries who are only going to use it to knife us in the back anyway and spend it in this country. Heaven knows there are enough who TRULY need assistance right here, whether it's a homeless vet or a hungry child in a blighted area. Infrastructure needs to be fixed, education needs to be fixed, and the govt needs to be fixed. Until any or all of this happens, it will change nothing. Sorry about the vent, and I hope this makes senses.
