Thanks for reminding us of the propaganda wars during the Vietnam War SP5 Mark Kuzinski. Our nation like most free nations had a generally free press which could research information such as casualties and losses. Totalitarian nations such as communist Vietnam had heavily restricted press.
I found a source which listed the total number of B-52 losses. 16 lost aircraft plus one significant battle damage. Additionally 30 B-52's were so badly damaged they had to be scrapped.

And, unfortunately, we still have 'propaganda press' today that influences so many who don't do any research for the truth of the matter.

Thanks for discovering and posting this significant information which vividly illustrates sacrifices our air crews made to accomplish limited missions and damage to the North when they could have annihilated the country if released by cowardly politicians to do so. We have met the enemy and they are US.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski Thanks for taking the time each day to post this great history about a war that America forgot to recognize our great veterans for and their sacrifices! Great job Mark!
