Thanks for letting us know SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Best wishes for full recovery for former Marine sergeant John Peck.
I was recovering in Walter Reed Army Medical Center for most of march 2003. I had to be fitted with orthotics after I became mobile. I was at the podiatry clinic with a number of soldiers who had lost one or both legs in the early days of OIF. They were being trained how to use artificial legs after they were fitted the artificial legs. Generally they were upbeat. I was and am thankful that our field-triage and life-saving capabilities have advanced so far.

An Air Force guy at Ramstein had that also and he used to be a world class fastpitch hurler. And because of a hospital infection, he lost both hands. I will pray for the Marine also.
